At Pegasus Gym, we aim to make your fitness journey as seamless and straightforward as possible. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about our operations, terms, and conditions as a valued Pegasus member.

 

Memberships

Membership Management:
All memberships are managed by Ashbourne Membership Management. Full contractual terms are
provided at sign-up and remain binding throughout your membership.

Age Requirement & Gym Floor Access:

  • Members aged 16 years or over may use the gym floor independently.
  • Members aged 12–15 years may only use the gym when accompanied by an adult member aged 18years or over.
  • The accompanying adult must actively supervise the 12–15 year old at all times.
    When using cardio equipment, the adult and junior member must use machines positioned next to one another.
  • When using resistance machines or free weights, both users must train together on the same equipment.
  • Under no circumstances may a member aged 12–15 use the gym floor unaccompanied.

 

Gym Etiquette, Hygiene & Equipment Responsibility: 

  • Members are expected to be mindful of personal hygiene at all times while using the gym.
  • Members should use deodorant provided around the gym if needed.
  • All equipment must be wiped down after use using the cleaning wipes provided.
  • Members are responsible for returning all weights, plates, bars, and equipment to their correct storage locations after use.
  • Failure to put equipment away or maintain acceptable hygiene standards will result in one formal warning.
  • Any further failure to comply after a warning will result in a ban from the gym.

 

Contract Types:

  • One-Month Rolling Contracts:
    One-Month Rolling Contracts require 30 days’ notice following completion of the cancellation process.
  • Twelve-Month Contracts:
    Twelve-Month Contracts cancelled early incur a termination fee between £108.97 and £195.97, depending on contract value. Failure to settle termination fees may result in the remaining contract balance becoming payable,
    referral to debt collection agencies, additional charges, and the risk of a County Court Judgement
    (CCJ). 

 

Cancellation Policy (Updated):

  • All membership cancellations require a mandatory cancellation meeting.
  • Meetings must be booked via https://calendly.com/pegasusgym or arranged directly with the Membership Manager, Liam
  • Meetings may take place face-to-face at Pegasus Gym or via Microsoft Teams or Zoom where agreed.
  • In exceptional circumstances where in-person attendance is not possible, a Teams or Zoom meeting will be arranged.
  • Cancellations will not be accepted without completion of a cancellation meeting.

 

Rolling Contract Cancellations:

  • One-Month Rolling Contracts require 30 days’ notice, which begins only after the cancellation meeting has taken place.
  • Cancelling a direct debit without completing the cancellation process does not remove financial liability.

 

Twelve-Month Contract Cancellations:

  • Cancelling a direct debit during a twelve-month contract will result in the remaining contract balance becoming payable.
  • Only two exceptions are considered: relocation or a valid doctor’s note.

 

Membership Freeze Policy:

  • Memberships may be frozen for up to two months within any twelve-month period.
  • A minimum of fourteen days’ notice is required – before your next direct debit date.
  • Freezes ONLY work from your direct debit date to the following direct debit date.
  • We can’t do freezes of less than one month.
  • Freezes can only be administered in months, not weeks.

 

Day Passes:

  • Day passes are available 24 hours a day.
  • Outside of staffed hours, day passes must be purchased online.
  • During staffed hours, day passes may be purchased at the reception desk.
  • Day passes are valid for single-use access only and are non-refundable.

 

Changing Rooms, Sauna & Ice Bath Use:

  • All members must shower before each use of the sauna or ice bath.
  • Members must be mindful of personal hygiene and respectful of others using these facilities.
  • Members who do not shower before use, or who fail to maintain acceptable hygiene standards, will be banned from using these facilities.
  • The changing rooms, sauna, and ice bath areas are strictly for members aged 16 years and over

 

24-Hour Access & Security:

  • Members receive a key fob for 24-hour access
  • A £10 joining fee applies to all new key fobs.
  • Re-issue of a key fob for any reason incurs a £10 replacement fee.
  • The gym operates with CCTV recording at all times. During unstaffed hours, monitoring is limited and event driven. Members train at their own risk during these times.

 

Personal Belongings:

  • Lockers are provided; members must bring their own padlock.
  • Items left outside lockers are left at the member’s own risk.
  • Pegasus Gym accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen items.

 

Fob Access Rules:

  • Access fobs must be carried at all times.
  • Fobs are strictly for member use only.
  • Allowing non-members entry will result in immediate disciplinary action, including possible membership termination.
