At Pegasus Gym, we aim to make your fitness journey as seamless and straightforward as possible. Below, you’ll find everything you need to know about our operations, terms, and conditions as a valued Pegasus member.

 

Memberships

Age Requirement:
Membership is available to individuals 18 years and older. Members under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign up on their behalf. ID verification is required at the time of key fob collection.

Contract Types:

  • One-Month Rolling Contracts:
    These flexible contracts can be canceled with 30 days’ notice, which must be given through reception or via email. Note: Simply canceling your direct debit will not count as giving notice, and you may still be liable for outstanding fees.
  • Twelve-Month Contracts:
    If you wish to cancel early, a termination fee of £108.97 – £195.97 (depending on contract value) will apply. If this fee is not settled within a week, you will be billed for the remainder of the contract, and your account will be referred to a debt collection agency. The agency will add their own fees, and if unpaid, a County Court Judgement (CCJ) will be issued.

 

Cancellation Policy:

  • One-Month Rolling Contracts:
    Requires 30 days’ notice for cancellation. Canceling your direct debit without giving notice through the proper channels will not absolve you of financial responsibilities. Unpaid dues may be subject to debt collection fees.
  • Twelve-Month Contracts:
    Cancelling your direct debit results in billing for the remainder of your contract term. Debt collection fees will apply if unpaid, and only two exceptions will be considered – Relocation or Doctors Note.
  • Relocation will require proof of your move – tenancy agreement, mortgage statement or council tax bill (No other bill considered)  It must have the exact name on the documents that your membership profile has. Any deviation of details will require further photographic ID to match the details on the evidence you provide. (Passport or Driving License only)
  • doctors note will also be viable should your recovery take more than 3 months or you have a serious health condition.
  • Please discuss early termination fees with us if needed. Ignoring communications may lead to your account being handed over to debt collectors, with additional fees applied and the risk of a CCJ.

 

Loyalty Feature:
Your membership rate will remain the same unless you cancel and later re-join. If you experience financial hardship, we offer a 72-hour window via our app to adjust your membership.

Membership Adjustments:
You can upgrade or downgrade your membership by contacting our reception team.

Membership Freeze or Suspension

Freeze Policy:
You can freeze your membership for up to 2 months within a 12-month period. A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required to initiate a freeze. If a freeze is requested to close to your direct debit date, the membership payment will be taken. Members who freeze their accounts whilst in a 12 month contract, will see their contract extended by the length of freeze requested.

REFUNDS AND PRORATED FEES

Refunds:
Membership fees are non-refundable and not prorated for partial months, except in cases where you upgrade your membership.

Day Passes

Usage:
Day passes are available for one-time use on any staffed day during staffed hours (9am–9pm on weekdays and 10am–5pm on weekends and bank holidays).

Class Bookings

No-Show Policy:
If you miss three classes in a month, you will be temporarily banned from booking further classes for two weeks. Continued no-shows may result in longer bans or membership cancellation.

Class Cancellation:
You must cancel a class at least two hours before the scheduled start time to avoid penalties.

Personal Training

Booking and Cancellation:
Personal training sessions can be booked and paid for at reception. If you need to cancel, you must do so at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations with more than 24 hours’ notice can be rescheduled within the 4-week period of your PT package, subject to your trainer’s availability. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your session will result in the session being lost, with no opportunity to reschedule or receive compensation. If you’re planning a holiday, you must notify your trainer at least one month in advance.

Offers and Promotions

Compliance:
To benefit from our offers and promotions, ensure you follow the correct sign-up process. Pegasus Gym reserves the right to rescind offers at any time.

24-Hour Access, Key Fob Entry, and Security

Key Fob Access:
Members receive a key fob for 24-hour access to the gym. A £10 joining fee is required to obtain your fob, which can be collected during manned hours. Only members with key fobs can access the gym outside of staffed hours. Misuse of the fob may result in penalties or a ban from the gym.

Profile Photo:
For security purposes, a profile photo will be taken at reception when you join.

Personal Belongings:
Please store your belongings in the lockers provided (bring your own padlock). You may also leave bags in the changing rooms or on our shelving units, but this is done at your own risk. For your convenience, reception staff can look after belongings during staffed hours. Pegasus Gym is not responsible for items left outside of lockers.

24-Hour Monitoring:
The gym is monitored around the clock by security cameras and our dedicated team to ensure a safe environment for all members.

FOB ACCESS RULE

Access Fob Requirement:
All members must carry their key fob for gym entry, especially outside of staffed hours. Access is strictly for members only; allowing non-members to use your fob is prohibited. Violating this policy will lead to serious consequences, including suspension or termination of 24-hour access privileges, and possibly membership cancellation.

Consequences:
Unauthorized use of access fobs, such as permitting non-members to enter the gym, will result in immediate action. This may include revocation of gym access or a full membership ban. Compliance ensures the safety and security of all members.
