At Pegasus, we strive to make your fitness journey seamless and straightforward. Here’s everything you need to know about our operations and your terms and conditions to being a Pegasus Member:
Memberships
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 or older to hold a membership. Those under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign up on their behalf, with ID verification required at key fob collection.
- Contract Types:
- One-Month Rolling Contracts: Flexible and cancellable with 30 days' notice via reception or email only! Cancelling a direct debit before you have given notice via reception or email; will not constitute as giving notice.
- Twelve-Month Contracts: Early termination fee's apply - 3 months of the value of the monthly membership plus a £10 admin fee. If this is not settled within a week, the full amount of the contract will be billed to you and sent to a debt collection agency. The agency will add their own fee's on top and if you neglect to pay them, a CCJ will be issued.
- Cancellation Policy:
- One-Month Rolling Contracts: Requires 30 days' notice. Cancelling direct debit does not end financial obligations. Debt collection fees apply for unpaid dues.
- Twelve-Month Contracts: Cancelling your direct debit leads to billing for the remaining contract term on your agreement. Extra charges apply for debt collection from the agency that act on our behalf. No exceptions are or reasons are considered. Please talk to us about an early termination fee. Ignoring communications from Ashbourne or ourselves will result in your contract being sent to debt collectors and the money owed will be applied to a CCJ.
- Loyalty Feature: Enjoy consistent rates unless the membership is canceled and then rejoined. A 72-hour window via our app is provided for financial hardship cases.
- Membership Adjustments: Contact our reception team to upgrade or downgrade memberships.

Membership Freeze or Suspension
- Freeze Policy: Requires 7 days' notice, available for up to 2 months within a 12-month period.
Refunds and Prorated Fees
- Refunds: Fees are non-refundable and not prorated for partial months, except for membership upgrades.
Day Passes
- Usage: Available for one-time use on any staffed day during staffed hours. 9am-9pm Weekdays and 10am-5pm Weekends/Bank Holidays
Class Bookings
- No-Show Policy: Missing three classes in a month results in a two-week ban. Further no-shows may lead to longer bans or membership cancellation.
- Class Cancellation: You can only cancel a class two hours or more before your allotted time.
Personal Training
- Booking and Cancellation: Book via management at reception. Cancel at least 24 hours in advance with your personal trainer. Cash payments are accepted; consult us for details.
Offers and Promotions
- Compliance: Follow the correct process for signing up to avoid missing out. Offers can be rescinded at any time.
24-Hour Access / Key Fob Entry / Security
- Key Fob: Each member receives a key fob for 24-hour access. Collection is available during manned hours.
- Joining Fee: A £10 joining fee secures your key fob.
- Access Restrictions: Only members with key fobs can access the gym outside of manned hours. Misuse of fobs will lead to bans and penalties.
- Profile Photo: Mandatory for security purposes, taken at reception.
- Personal Belongings: Please store any belongings in the lockers in reception (Bring your own padlock) You may leave your bags in the changing room or on our shelving units at your own discretion. You may also carry your belongings but please don't leave them in walkways. Alternatively our reception staff will look after your belongings during staffed hours. The gym will not be held accountable for belongings left outside of lockers.
- 24 Hour Monitoring: The gym is monitored 24 hours a day via our cameras and security team.
Important Notice

We hope this message finds you well. As a valued member of our gym community, we remind you of our terms and conditions regarding 24-hour gym access, especially concerning access fobs and non-member guests.
- Access Fob Requirement: Mandatory for gym entry outside of staffed hours. Always carry your fob and sign in at the door.
- Non-Member Guest Policy: Allowing non-members to use your fob is strictly prohibited and will result in severe consequences, including revocation of privileges or a potential ban.
- Consequences: Unauthorized entry will lead to serious consequences. Ensure the security and safety of all members by adhering to these policies.
